China's Xi Jinping named commander in chief

Beijing Rajab 14 1437 Apr 21 2016 SPA -- Chinese President Xi Jinping was referred to by state media as "commander in chief" a new title dpa reported.
State-run Xinhua news agency gave the title in a report covering Xi's visit to a newly created joint command centre on Wednesday.
He is commander in chief of the centre whose role it will be to study and command wars Xinhua said.
The centre should be "absolutely loyal" Xi was quoted as saying during his visit.
