Doosan Heavy's net profit hits USD78.9m in Q1


(MENAFN) Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., South Korea's top power equipment maker, revived its status and incomes in the first quarter from the prior year.

This notable achievement was mainly on the back of gains from equity ties with affiliates, thus the gross profit touched USD78.9 million on a consolidated basis in the Jan-March period.

Additionally, the operating income almost doubled to USD200 million throughout the mentioned timeframe, whereas sales declined 11 percent on-year to USD2.9 billion.

Moreover, Doosan is a subsidiary of Doosan Group, and its business includes manufacturing and construction of nuclear power plants, turbines and generators.
