Qatar's UNESCO Candidate Meets Tunisian Minister of Education


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tunis April 18 (QNA) - HE Advisor at the Emiri Diwan and the State of Qatar's candidate to the Post of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari met here Monday with Tunisia's Minister of Education Neji Jellou.
During the meeting Al Kuwari presented his plan and programme as Qatar's nominee to the post For his part Jellou expressed his appreciation to the State of Qatar for its active role in supporting UNESCO whether in education or culture or heritage and he welcomed the State of Qatar’s nomination of Dr. Al Kuwari stressing Tunisia's support to this nomination and wished him success.
HE Qatar's Ambassador to Tunisia Abdullah bin Nasser Al Humaidi attended the meeting.
Al Kuwari currently participating in an international symposium on promoting peace and dialogue values that was held in city of Sousse by the Tunisian Education Ministry in cooperation with the Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
