Three PKK terrorists were involved in the clash during which a police patrol car came under attack in the province’s central Seyhan district the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity because of restrictions on talking to media said.

While one was killed an operation to nab the other two PKK terrorists who are said to be now on the run was launched following the incident they added.

The PKK -- also listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state last July.
