UAE- Road safety awareness kicks off in the Capital


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The exhibition will be held at Dalma Mall and is part of the unified programmes of the Arab Traffic Week.

The exhibition will include a number of events and programmes aimed at enhancing traffic safety and encouraging motorists to abide by traffic laws to prevent the causes of traffic accidents.

Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri Executive Director of the Saaed Society explained that Saaed Society's participation in the organisation of the Arab Traffic Week falls in line with the social communication approach to preserve lives and property and to improve road users' behavior to reduce the various causes leading to traffic accidents. Colonel Al Ameri also noted that the Traffic and Patrols Directorate the Emirates Driving Company and the Emirates Transport and Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) will be taking part in the exhibition with their own pavilions.

These pavilions will host a set of activities such as traffic-related documentaries' screening distribution of booklets competitions and a traffic-related drawing corner all of which are intended to enhance the positive role of drivers and encourage them to abide by the traffic law. Five schools will also be participating in the exhibition to showcase traffic- related innovations for student awareness.
