(MENAFN) Emerging as one of the most lucrative segments of the East European economy, Ukraine's information technologies (IT) industry has created USD2.5 of exports incomes through the past year.
In accordance, noting that the total IT market has been growing by an average 25pct yearly, it has become the third largest industry after agricultural sector and metallurgy in terms of export revenues.
This is considered to be an unsurprising natural outcome, as the nation's IT industry generated nearly USD2.3 billion in 2014 from software sales abroad, accounting for 4.7pct of total export revenues.
Moreover, the East European country has a potential to become a European hub for software production in the coming years, thus IT division is projected to surpass agriculture and metallurgy by 2025.
