UAE- Gulf national fined Dh10000 for drunk driving


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Ajman federal court of first instance fined a 20-year-old Gulf national Dh10000 and ordered cancellation of his driving license for driving his car while intoxicated.

According to the police record the defendant was caught by patrols changing lanes carelessly causing danger to other motorists. When the police arrested him he was found in an abnormal state and smelled of alcohol.

He was rushed to a hospital where tests confirmed that the driver was intoxicated.

It was also found that the man has a police record on charges of drug possession.

He admitted in the court that he had drug pills just for treatment demanding the judge to eliminate the verdict.
