Twitter remains under serious threat

(MENAFN) Driving new concerns on how long it will take for the company to reverse the trend, Twitter Inc., the American online social networking service, has posted its 1st quarter's numbers with no increase in users since it went public.

Accordingly, the underwhelming platform's overall growth came in spite of a series of crucial changes to make the microblogging service easier and more engaging, including launching changes to the timeline of tweets.

In more detail, the San Francisco-based company had 320 million average monthly active users in the quarter, unchanged from 2015's 4th quarter and lagging a forecast for 323 million users from RBC Capital Markets.

The recent change to the timeline is the most dramatic change yet, as Twitter is altering the way it displays tweets on its home page, let alone the introduced Moments feature, but both additions haven't seen positive feedback.
