US manufacturing output drops by 0.3 percent


(MENAFN) US manufacturing output dropped in March the most since Feb 2015, indicating factories remain scarred by global challenges.

Furthermore, the 0.3 percent drop at factories, which make up 75 percent of production, trailed a revised 0.1 percent decrease.

Additionally, whole industrial production, involving mines and utilities, dropped by a weaker than estimated to reach 0.6 percent.

On the other hand, manufacturing in the New York area spread this month since Jan 2015.
