Qatar- HH the Emir Addresses Opening Session of Islamic Summit Conference

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Istanbul April 14 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani delivered a speech on behalf of the group of Arab States at the opening session of the 13th Islamic Summit Conference which is being held at the Convention Center in Istanbul.
HH the Emir expressed appreciation on behalf of the group of Arab States to Turkey for hosting this summit and for the warm reception and generous hospitality expressing his confidence that Turkey's presidency of this summit will be a constructive addition to the progress of Islamic cooperation.
His Highness also thanked HE Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr Iyad Ameen Madani and his staff for their tireless efforts to serve the joint Islamic action.
This summit is being held at a time when many of our states are facing serious challenges that require redoubling efforts and joint work to address them and to meet the aspirations of our peoples HH the Emir added wishing that the summit and its results contribute to meeting the aspirations and hopes of Muslim nations.
