Jordan- Israel approves building of hundreds of new housing units


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah April 14 (Petra)-- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the construction of hundreds of new housing units in West Bank settlements including a number in isolated outposts Haaretz Daily reported on Thursday.

It also said that the plan followed more than a year-long low-key settlement construction freeze.

Israel's Peace Now movement revealed the largest Israeli settlement plan near the West Bank city of Ramallah by the Amana settlement movement.

The Amana movement seeks to convert the settlements of (Ma'ale Mkhmac Rimonim Psagot and Kochav Ya'ir) to a residential compound inhabited by around 77000 people until 2040.
