UAE- GCC Inquiries and Criminal Investigations meeting concludes

ABU DHABI 14th April 2016 (WAM) -- Participants in the 31st GCC Meeting of Directors General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations have stressed the need to cultivate cooperation between GCC States in order to combat crime and to continue exchanging databases between GCC countries within the GCC Police Force.

The participants also emphasised the need to develop a guidebook and distribute it to member states. They also came up with a set of appropriate recommendations in this regard to be submitted to the GCC Ministry of Interior Under-Secretaries during their next meeting.

The GCC heads of state and delegates participating in the meeting expressed their thanks and appreciation to H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior for the warm hospitality and the outstanding efforts exerted by the ministry which had a significant impact on producing the appropriate outcomes and recommendations that enhance security cooperation and achieve the coveted aspirations of the GCC ministers of interior.

The participants agreed to hold their next meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi Director-General of the Federal Criminal Police presented the Ministry of Interior's Shield to the heads of delegations participating in the meeting.

The delegations participating in the meeting visited the Forensic Evidence Department at Abu Dhabi Police in order to examine the department's sections and branches as well as its different tasks and duties undertaken in crime detection and law enforcement.

They were briefed by Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi Head of the Forensic Evidence Department at Abu Dhabi Police about the department's work. They also watched a documentary entitled "Together towards a Secure Society" which highlights the distinguished prominent status enjoyed by the Abu Dhabi Police the scientific development and global level attained in the technological scientific and human aspects and the efforts exerted to operate according to international standards which positioned the Abu Dhabi Police at the highest international levels.
