China's business progress in March surpasses projections

(MENAFN) China's exports in Yuan terms surged 18.7 percent in March as opposed to the corresponding period last year, marking the largest surge in overseas shipments in more than a year.

In accordance, the revival in outbound shipments has raised hopes that the world's second largest economy is not as badly impacted as many had thought by the global slowdown.

However, The IMF voiced anxiety over the lackluster nature of the global economy, even as it noted there has been some recovery from the financial crisis and the recession which came with it.

Meanwhile, later this week China will announce its much-anticipated growth data for the first quarter, and the forecast is for an expansion of 6.8 percent for the three months to March.
