Malaysia vows full commitment to revive Iranian ties

(MENAFN) Malaysia currently sees no barrier to the expansion of business relations between Kuala Lumpur and Tehran, as recently stated by a top Malaysian official.

Support from the Malaysian financial sector will be forthcoming to take advantage of the emerging business opportunities created after lifting of the sanctions in January.

Main exports to Iran were palm oil chemical products, rubber products, machinery and equipment and foodstuffs, thus joint trade exchange reached USD517mn in 2015.

Malaysia has longstanding trade relations with Iran, and it was one of the biggest commercial partners of his country prior to the sanctions," said the Malaysian Minister for Trade and Industry.
