Omani firms to invest USD 1.03mn in broadcast networks
(MENAFN) Power firms in Oman aim to invest almost USD 1.03mn for increasing and upgrading transmission and distribution networks this year.
Accordingly, the firms have invested almost USD 1.035mn in transmission networks to expand and enhance services by delivering more than 90 percent.
In addition, this achievement enabled the companies to increase its network reliability and increase the number of customers by 7 percent to surpass 1mn.
The operating performance indicators showed development with a reduction in distribution loss from 10.3 percent in 2014 to 9.5 percent in 2015.
