UAE- Large tramadol shipment seized in Ajman

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Ajman Port and custom seized large quantity of tramadol pill being smuggled to the country through a ship coming from an African Port.

Top official at the port told khaleej times when they received a tip off about the tramadol pills in the ship team of inspectors was formed and managed the locate the substances in the ship with possession of the crew.

During interrogation in coordination with Ajman Police Anti-Narcotic Department the crew confessed that the quantity belongs to them and they prepared to hand over to dealers.

Ali Juma Al Tamimi Director of Custom Affairs at Ajman Port and Custom said that the well qualified inspectors managed to discover many cases as this one and referred the criminal to justice.

He pointed out that the inspection operation targeting imported goods being carried out with highly accuracy and the inspectors use advanced methods to ensure that goods meet with quality requirements in the UAE. The inspectors also focus in preventing entry of any type of drug substances through the port.

The Ajman Port and custom is making great efforts in ensuring security safety by not allowing any kind of illegal goods and low quality ones. Residents and citizens security and heath safety is one of top priorities of the Department
