UAE- Shipment of tramadol seized

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Ajman Port and Customs has seized a large quantity of tramadol pills being smuggled through a ship coming from an African port.

A top official at the port told Khaleej Times that they received a tip-off about the tramadol consignment and formed a team of inspectors to track it. The team arrested the ship's crew and seized the tramadol pills.

In coordination with the Ajman Police the team interrogated the crew members who confessed the shipment belonged to them. They confessed they were preparing to hand over the pills to drug dealers.

Ali Juma Al Tamimi Director of Customs Affairs said the customs has cracked many cases like this one.-
