Jordan delivers wheat shipment from U.S at USD 25.1mn
(MENAFN) Aqaba received wheat shipment of 47,500 metric tons through the US Department of Agriculture's Food for Progress Program.
Furthermore, the first shipment arrived in Feb to finish the donation worth USD 25.1mn from the US to Jordan.
In addition, the gov't will undertake a number of agricultural and irrigation projects aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and economic growth.
Accordingly, the assistance comes to the over USD 1.6bn in mutual assistance allocated for Jordan this year, trailing a 2011 grant worth USD 19mn.
