Indonesia pursues more LPG shipments from Iran
(MENAFN) Pertamina, the Indonesian state-run oil and gas behemoth intends to ship in three consignments of LPG from Iran, reflecting the renowned trade ties between the two nations.
Basically, LPG from the oil/gas rich Islamic Republic is important to fulfill Indonesia's local needs because Indonesia does not produce enough LPG to meet its domestic demand.
However, Pertamina is still unable to import crude oil and gas (LPG) from Iran due to payment problems, plus it's currently negotiating this business transaction with the Persian Gulf nation.
To maximize the oil supply from abroad and Indonesia, Pertamina is currently considering to rent refineries from several nations in Asia Pacific, like India, Korea, Japan, China and Singapore.
