Jordan's Parl't Speaker hails Kuwait support to Syrian refugee

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN April 6 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh voiced appreciation on Wednesday for Kuwait's support to the Hashemite Kingdom especially on the Syrian refugee issue.
A statement by Tarawneh's office said the Speaker made his remarks during his reception of Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Duaij pointing to the support provided by the Kuwaiti side and its role in promoting bilateral relations on all levels.
The statement noted that the Jordanian top lawmaker asserted the importance of boosting Jordanian-Kuwaiti parliamentary relations along with all Arab regional and international parliaments.
The meeting also delved into issues of common concerns including the war on terror and the importance of sharing experiences and expertise in this regard.
For his part the statement quoted Al-Duaij as praising the role of the Kingdom under the leadership of King Abdullah II regarding issues in the region including its supporting role of hosting the Syrian refugees. (end) mjb.mb
