Oman- H E Dr Madeeha honours students for excelling in regional contests

H E Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed bint Ahmed bin Nassir al Shaibaniyah Minister of Education on Sunday honoured students who won laurels for the country in competitions in Egypt and UAE.

A press release stated that the ceremony was attended by undersecretaries councillors and directors general. Alanoud bint Issa bin Salim al Aofi a 12th grader from Om al Khair al Amirah School for Basic Education in Dakhliyah governorate was awarded for finishing second while Mohammed bin Said bin Mohammed al Habsi a tenth grader from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr School for Basic Education in North Sharqiyah governorate was honoured for finishing second at the Arab level competition in Egypt.

H E Dr Madeeha honoured both the students for excelling in classical Arabic speaking elocution poetry recitation and Arabic grammar contests. H E Dr Madeeha also honoured three students for winning gold and silver medals and the Shield of Excellence in poetry contest at the Arabic Olympics that was held in Sharjah UAE last month.

Azza al Kindi from Al Shatha School for Girls for Basic Education and Wala al Majrefi from Sawda Om al Momineen School for Girls for Basic Education won gold medals while Khawla al Esari from Sumaiya School for Girls won silver and the Shield of Excellence in the contest.
