Oman- Indian School Darsait to host music band Agam on April 29

Popular Indian music band Agam will be performing at the Qurum Amphitheatre on April 29.

Titled 'Symphoneve 2016 A Musical Night with Agam band' the event is being organised by Indian School Darsait (ISD).

The programme aims to raise funds for the school's development supporting economically deprived students Special Education Center and installing modern facilities for improving the quality of education. Addressing a press conference at the school on Saturday Dr Sridevi P Thashnath principal ISD said 'At our school we are always devoted to conducting activities that engage students parents management and the community.

'The activities are basically to raise funds for the development of school and for our needy students. We also plan to expand our playground from 5000sq m to 10000sq m.' The band Agam has been recognised and mentored by Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman. Comprising seven male musicians the band is known for its rock funk and pop along with classical Hindustani music.

G Ramesh of Orbit Event Management one of the event organisers said 'The band is all set to thrill the audience and we welcome people to come and enjoy the show and contribute to the school and its development. 'This is the band's first ever visit to Oman and they will be accompanied by their excellent sound engineer.' Tickets for the show are available for RO25 RO12 RO5 and RO2.
