DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has issued a guidebook in Arabic to help students seeking information regarding admission to universities worldwide.

RAF already has a portal (http://www.raf-platform.com/#.) in Arabic providing free consultations for university education

The book was published by RAF in collaboration with an association which encourages science and technology in the Arab world.

The move is response to questions from students who have been following RAF’s portal. The followers have reached more than 125000.

So far the portal has provided more than 10000 free consultations to students.

The guidebook which is in the printed format aims to help remove hindrances faced by students in Arab countries in applying for admission to international universities.

The guidebook also contains sufficient information for students on how to obtain scholarships to pursue educational dreams in those universities.

It contains answers to some of the most frequently asked questions like the grades required to be eligible for admission to an international university where to apply types of tests a candidate needs to pass and available financing sources among other things.

The book also tells students about how to choose appropriate study programmes for their master’s and PhD degrees and how to get admission.

Admission procedures for higher studies in international universities are time-consuming and take about six to nine months according to the guidebook.
