Fire contained at popular restaurant near Ramada signal

Doha: Civil Defense personnel have contained a large fire that broke out on the rooftop of a restaurant near Jabr bin Ahmed intersection popularly known as Ramada junction.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a tweet that the blaze was contained without any casualties.
According to an eye witness account the blaze originated from the Caravan restaurant and affected nearby eateries including the Barbar restaurant.
The fire was first reported around 7.30pm on social media.
The cause of the fire was not known at the time of filing this report.
