UAE- Tech extravaganza helps boosts footfall

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Gitex Shopper is very important shopping extravaganza that helps increases footfall at power retailers' stores almost across the UAE but shoppers come to Gitex to feel the buzz.

"Definitely Gitex Shopper very much increases the footfall at our stores. We see almost 30-35 per cent increase [in footfall] Emax chief executive officer Neelesh Bhatnagar told Khaleej Times.

Nadeem Khanzadah Head - OmniChannel Retail Jumbo Group said: "There is definitely a huge increase in footfall and more than double sales compared to any average day during Gitex Shopper. It revives sales in a big way as start getting enquiries at stores before the Gitex Shoppers starts."Mahesh Chotrani assistant vice president Jacky's Electronics said: There is always increased footfall at stores during the Gitex Shopper but the buzz is here."

Sharaf DG vice president Pankaj Kumar said that Gitex Shopper is very important for the company and the industry. "During both the Gitex Shopper we see a huge jump in footfall at our stores that also contributes in good sales.

Omar Abushaban General Manager of Plug Ins echoed the same thing and said: "We see a significant footfall during Gitex Shopper. Last year we noticed 30-35 per cent increase during Gitex Shopper and we expect the same this year as well."
