Oman- Body of man who drowned in Wadi Dayqah repatriated

The body of an Indian expat who drowned in Wadi Dayqah last Friday was flown back to Thiruvanthapuram his hometown in the southern Indian state of Kerala on Monday night on a Jet Airways flight.

P C Murali (58) was an Oman resident for 35 years and was visiting the dam on Friday accompanied by friends.

He entered the water downstream for a swim but could not reach the shore due to the strong current and drowned.

His body was fished out by rescue teams the same day his friends said.
