UAE- Teenager hurt in Fujairah hit and run accident

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 16-year-old Emirati was seriously injured after being run over by a motorbike in a hit and run accident at the Mirbih neighbourhood near the city of Fujairah.

The police tracked down the motorcyclist and the Public Prosecution accused him of intentionally knocking down the victim.

Public prosecution referred the suspect who was not identified to the court to stand trial.

The case unfolded when the trauma and emergency section of a Fujairah hospital received the young man who sustained serious injuries after the accident.

The victim explained the police about the accident and the CID officers managed to arrest the motorcyclist who appeared to have deliberately run over the victim for personal disputes between them. The Public Prosecution accused him of intentionally knocking down a person and endangering his life.
