WeeTect today announced that it has invested $1000000 in 2016 on a research program to improve existing testing procedures for both anti-fog films and coatings. In the recent past the company has invested in technological advancements R&D and testing facilities. The company has also adopted different anti-fog testing techniques and testing methods.

It is a requirement that all products destined for American and European markets meet the minimum requirements of ASTM and CE standards. WeeTect has partnered with a number of certified laboratories in China America and Europe to ensure all anti-fog coatings and films meet the recommended quality criteria. So far all WeeTect products meet the ECE324/22.05 CE EN379 ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 standards. The tests are based on a wide range of parameters that can undermine the performance of products.

WeeTect testing laboratory located in Wuxi will work with other testing and learning institution. This will be the first phase of the anti-fog films and coatings quality testing research. The company is scheduled to begin the second phase by August 2016.

Testing equipment for the quality research program

The company has invested in a number of ultra-modern machines and equipment.

Testing equipment the company has purchased include:

1.ADF measurement device for shade
2.Cary 400 spectrometers
3.Measurement device for homogeneity and angle dependence
4.A measurement device for switching time
5.A measurement device for light scattered
6.On-line automatic testing device

The company is scheduled to acquire more testing equipment next month. The proposal has been approved by the management.

Participating in anti-fog coating and film research programs

As part of WeeTects research program for testing anti-fog films and coatings the company invites all interested parties to submit their request for participation before the end of the month.

This is an interactive session that we anti-fog product resellers and distributors must not miss. As a team that interact with the end consumers of our products your input is vital for the success of this program said Taylor Lei. During our last meeting we agreed to conduct quality research programs in a progressive manner to ensure all our anti-fog products have consistent quality.

The anti-fog coating and film reseller will have the opportunity to learn from the WeeTect team as the company strives to address any demands of the end users during this forum.

Anti-fog film and coating tests

The research program will focus on 8 key tests.
These tests include:

1.Anti-fog testing.
2.Scattering tests
3.Spectral transmittance
4.Viscosity testing
5.Abrasion testing
6.Hardness testing
7.UV aging testing
8.Impact resistance testing among other crucial tests in the industry.

These are the general test to enhance performance of the anti-fog products and surfaces where they will be used. To optimize the performance of an anti-fog property WeeTect will also focus on the following key parameters:

1.Internal anti-fog additives; the R&D team is trying to solve incompatibility issues by analyzing polymer matrix. The main focus will be on non-ionic surfactants. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic ingredients of these anti-fog films and coatings will also form an important subject research.

2.External anti-fog coating; WeeTect team will mainly focus on various PC and PET anti-fog sheet. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic components will form critical aspects too.

By the end of the first phase of the research the WeeTect R&D team is expected to give clear guideline on anti-fog coating and film. The company will publish a report that will focus on anti-fog coating and film selection criteria.

Factors you will expect from this report include:

1.Choice of material
2.Anti-fog processing conditions
3.Operation conditions
4.Care and maintenance processes

So far WeeTect is the only company in China that invest a lot of money in anti-fog products.
