(MENAFN) Trade between Qatar and Asean (Association of South East Association Nations) countries touched USD 16bn in 2014, which is set to rise in coming years.
Asean, a group of 10 nations was ready to promote cultural, economic and political development in the area, which offers chance of Qatar's investors in oil sector.
Furthermore, Asean's GDP is the 7th largest economy in the world and the 3rd main economy in Asia, which is also a big market with almost 622mn people.
On the other hand, it attracted almost USD 136bn Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) across the globe, in which FDI from the United States was around USD 24bn.
