Turkey- 'Friendly' Finland hopes to lure tourists amid terrorist threats


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Travel experts in Finland believe the turmoil in Europe could possible draw profits to the country's economy triggering an inflow of tourists to the ‘safe' Nordic Europe amid terrorist threats and the rampaging immigration crisis in the rest of Europe.

The recent terrorist attacks in Europe may actually boost Finland's tourism industry travel experts believe. Even in the absence of tangible data the specialists argue that tourists may choose Finland on account of the country's reputation for safety.

"For example safety is a top priority for Chinese tourists" says Kristina Hietasaari chief of the research department for the Visit Finland website which promotes tourism in Finland in an interview with Finlands national broadcaster Yle.

According to her vacationers from Germany and France two of Europe's largest countries on the demand end of tourism in general prefer Turkey and Greece.
