French consumers project economic plunge in March

(MENAFN) France's consumer confidence index about the economic state slumped by one point in March from a month earlier to 94, the lowest level since August 2015.

Accordingly, French consumers also showed less optimism about their past and future financial situation in March as opposed to with the opinion throughout last month.

Household gratitude for their past financial balance was solid; however their prospects have degraded again with the index losing four points, hitting a one-year low.

Meanwhile, as for the unemployment rate, fewer families projected an increase in joblessness whereas a growth in inflation was estimated, according to the latest reports.
