GCC inflation rate grows by 1.5 percent in 2015


(MENAFN) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) inflation increased 1.5 percent last year compared to 2014, while Kuwait viewed the highest GCC inflation rate by 2.2 percent.

However, the Sultanate of Oman registered a slight drop by 0.1 percent through the same period, and the GCC inflation reached almost 1.3 percent in Dec 2015.

Moreover, the GCC national inflation ranged between 0.14 percent in Oman and 3.59 percent in UAE in Dec 2015 compared to the same period of 2014.

The UAE witnessed the highest inflation rate compared with other GCC nations as it reached 3.59 percent, trailed by Kuwait at 3.03 percent, Qatar by 2.7 percent.
