Dubai's aviation signs deal to enlarge Maktoum airport


(MENAFN) Dubai's aviation authority signed an agreement for the first phase of a project which will view the annual capacity at Al-Maktoum Intl' Airport rise to 26.5mn by 2025.

Moreover, the first phase of the project will increase the built up area of the passenger terminal building from the current 66,107 sqm to 145,926 sqm.

Additionally, the expansion plan will involve 12 new boarding lounges and the extension of the emigration transfer and security area.

On the other hand, a new baggage screening zone for arrivals will be added while the recent baggage reclaim area will see three new rides, which will handle over 220mn travelers.
