Arab Parliament chief upbeat for Kuwait's hosting of Yemenis' talks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO March 26 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmad Bin Jarwan has lauded Kuwait's planned hosting of inter-Yemeni conciliation talks starting April 18th noting that the Kuwaiti role in this respect boosts optimism on reaching a solution to the crisis in Yemen.

The chairman Al-Jarwan in a statement hailed Kuwait's diplomacy effective role known at the Arab and international levels under the enlightened leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He also praised the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) namely its chairman Abdulatif Al-Zayani for playing an effective role with respect of the Yemeni issue.

"Dousing fires of crises in the region is not only of local or Arab interest but also of international concern too for the region's stability and security largely affect global security and peace" chairman Al-Jarwan said.

He affirmed the Arab Parliament's support for all efforts and steps aimed at resolving the Yemeni crisis for the best interest of the Yemeni people the Gulf region and the whole world hoping that such an approach would facilitate the country's reconstruction and restoration of its role at the Arab and international levels.

Al-Jarwan expressed support for the UN plan for that purpose noting that the Arab nation is awaiting Yemen's return to its fold. (end) mfm.rk
