UAE- Nahyan bin Mubarak attends reception on Pakistan s National Day

ABU DHABI 24th March 2016 (WAM) -- Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development last night attended a reception hosted by Asif Ali Khan Durrani Ambassador of Pakistan on the occasion of his country's National Day.

The reception was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Shehab Ahmed Mohammed Al Fahim Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation a number of officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic mission accredited to the UAE.

In a speech during the ceremony the Pakistani Ambassador hailed the efforts of the United Arab Emirates under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in supporting the people of Pakistan.

He also praised the humanitarian and developmental initiatives of the United Arab Emirates in Pakistan noting that around 1.3 million Pakistanis are living in the country.

He added that the UAE is the largest trading partner of Pakistan among the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries commending the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and the Islamic Republic.
