Federation of Arab Journalists condemns Houthis crimes

CAIRO 24th March 2016 (WAM) -- The General Federation of Arab Journalists has condemned the collective targeting of a number of photojournalists in Taiz Yemen by Al Houthi militia and Saleh group.

The federation said in a statement on Tuesday that it strongly condemns this brutal assault and expressed its solidarity with the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate YJS in condemnation of this heinous crime which is inconsistent with all international laws.

The General Federation of Arab Journalists called on all international and human rights and media organisations to condemn this criminal act which killed martyr Mohammed Ghalib al-Majidi and injured his colleagues and considers it an act of terrorism which constitutes a violation of public rights and freedoms and is contrary to freedom of opinion and expression.
