Cameroon Senate chief commends Kuwait's support to his country


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO March 23 (KUNA) -- Cameroon's Senate President Senate Marcel Niat Njifenji praised Kuwait's contributions to development in his country.

Kuwait is a major friend country of Cameroon and has contributed to building and construction in the country mainly infrastructure education roads and power Njifenji said on Wednesday during a meeting with a visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation in the capital Yaounde.

He said the visit is likely to help enhance bilateral ties parliamentary relations in particular.

He also proposed the formation of a joint friendship committee to exchange expertise and visits as well as coordinating stances between the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the Cameroonian Senate.

Kuwait enjoys long expertise in various fields specially oil and power through which the country can contribute effectively to development in Cameroon.

For his part head of the Kuwaiti delegation MP Saud Al-Heraiji said Kuwait is very keen on enhancing ties with the West African republic adding that the visit aims to promote ties on the government and parliamentary levels.

Al-Heraiji relayed an invitation from National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim to Njifenji to visit Kuwait.

The meeting was attended by members of the delegation MPs Ahmad Al-Azmi Hamdan Al-Azmi Mohammad Marwi Al-Hadiya and Nigeria-based Kuwaiti non-resident ambassador to the Cameroon Abdulaziz Al-Sharrah. (Pick up previous) ms.msa
