Morocco's OCP records 58 percent net profit


(MENAFN) Morocco's OCP Company, the world's leading phosphate exporter, registered 2015 net profit more than 57.8 percent to USD 825.8mn.

Furthermore, prices of phosphate increase, an essential ingredient for producing fertilizer, stood almost USD 115 a ton last year, against USD 185 in 2012.

The firm plans to raise output to 47mn tons of crude phosphate in 2017, from almost 34mn tons in 2014, and to increase fertilizer production to 12mn.

On the other hand, combined income increased to USD 4.90bn last year, from USD 4.25bn in 2014.
