(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman March 23 (Petra) -- A rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday creating springy and mild conditions in the hilly areas while it will be warm in the desert regions and the Jordan Valley.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the Badia regions. At night it will be relatively cold across the country and mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
Temperatures will further rise on Thursday to become 6-8 degrees above their seasonal average creating warm conditions across the Kingdom with clouds at various altitudes. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to southwesterly brisk stirring dust in the Badia regions the JMD added.
A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Friday but springy conditions will remain in the hilly areas while it will be warm in the Badia regions the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba. with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for local showers in the southern regions.
Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the Badia regions the JMD said.
Temperatures expected in the capital for today will range between a high of 22 degrees Celsius and a low of 13 at night while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 29 degrees plunging to18 degrees at night.
