(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The Eagle Salute 2016 exercise kicked off on Monday with the participation of the Egyptian, US and UAE navy forces within the Egyptian territorial waters of the Red Sea.
The exercise includes performing drills for joint combat operations that involve naval scouting, defensive, offensive formations and reacting to hostile targets, according to a statement from the Egyptian army.
The army said the training comes as part of a series of annual exercises conducted by the armed forces with friendly countries.
