Orpic will fund USD 6.5bn to Oman's GDP


(MENAFN) Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co. (Orpic) will contribute USD 6.5bn or 8 to 9 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Sultanate.

Additionally, three large projects; Sohar Refinery Improvement, Liwa Plastics Industries Complex and Muscat Sohar product will contribute to the income of Orpic.

Moreover, the project will be completed amid 4 years, while the firm contribution is USD 4.2bn, which is equivalent to 5 percent to the country's GDP.

The join of the three projects introduces an increased plan that revolves around increased integration among the manufacturing complex.
