Jordan's net public debt stands at JD22.8 billion by end of 2015

Amman 22nd March 2011 (WAM) -- Jordan's net public debt increased at the end of 2015 to JD22.8 billion compared to JD20.5 billion at the end of 2014 according to data from the Finance Ministry.

The net public debt accounted for 84.2 percent of the estimated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2015 compared to 80.8 percent of the 2014 GDP state news agency Petra reported citing the ministry figures.

According to the data the internal debt stood at JD13.4 billion accounting for 49.6 percent of the 2015 GDP compared to JD12.5 billion in 2014.
