The United States Embassy strongly condemns the heinous terrorist attacks that took place this weekend in El-Arish and Rafah that killed at least 18 soldiers and police officers and wounded many others. We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and we wish those wounded a speedy recovery.
The United States stands with the government and people of Egypt in their ongoing fight against terrorism and in their pursuit of a stable democratic and prosperous country.
