BP Oman's gas project to begin production by 2017
(MENAFN) BP Oman proclaimed that the construction work of its Khazzan natural gas project is now 65 percent finished and the first gas is predicted in late 2017.
Moreover, the company's work at Khazzan will make a huge contribution to Oman's energy supply, increasing energy security and the country's foundations.
In addition, BP Oman is a lead partner in the project with a 60 percent interest, whereas Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production holds 40 percent.
Many deals were signed with the Ministry of Oil and Gas to amend the Block 61 exploration and production sharing agreement, to enable other stage of development.
