Drizzle in parts of Muscat cloudy weather till tomorrow, says Met office

The Met office has said that Muscat and surrounding areas will witness cloudy weather in the next 24 to 36 hours.

Several parts of the capital area witnessed drizzle throughout Saturday. A Met official said that a low pressure resulted in light drizzle while bringing down the temperature.

'The upper air trough which affected several parts of the sultanate last week will continue till Monday. 'Light rain is expected in Amerat Al Hajar mountains and the nearby areas while moderate to heavy rain is expected in Musandam Buraimi Dhahirah North and South Batinah North and South Sharqiyah and parts of Muscat.'

He added that the temperature in Muscat is likely to drop by 1 to 2C while it will drop by 3 to 4C in other parts of the country.

'The sea will be rough along the coastal areas of Musandam with maximum wave height ranging between 2-3m.'
