Kuwait Speaker Al Ghanim arrives in Zambia for IPU conference


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LUSAKA Zambia March 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Parliament Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim and an accompanying delegation arrived in the Zambian capital city of Lusaka on Sunday to participate in meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) 134th conference due on March 19-23.

He was received by charge d'affaires at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Zimbabwe Mohammed al-Nuaimi and embassy officials.

Speaker Al-Ghanim will give Kuwait's speech before the conference held under the theme "Democracy Renewal - Granting Vote for Youth." He is leading a delegation from the caucus which would participate in meetings of the standing committees of International Peace and Security Sustainable Development Finance and Trade Democracy and Human Rights and UN Affairs.

The delegation consists of MPs Faisal Al-Shaye Awda Al-Rowaie Hamdan Al-Azmi Khalil Abdullah and National Assembly Secretary General Allam Al-Kandari. (end) fs.ss
