Italy eyes great profits in Iran's ports


(MENAFN) In the latest sign of Italy's keenness to develop its business relations with Iran, the two nations have closed a number of agreements in port and marine areas, based on reports.

Accordingly, the Free Port of Trieste, one of Italy's largest ports located in the Adriatic Sea, seeks to establish trade ties with Iran, thus pursuing common objectives with regard to expansion.

Moreover, many key Italian firms have stated readiness to make massive investments in Iranian ports as well as that numerous liners have offered requests to enter Shahid Rajaei port.

On a different note, a MoU has already been inked between the Islamic Republic and Indians on making investments in the port of Chabahar and the agreement is in the final stage.
