Qatar- Death Toll of Explosion in Turkey Rises to Five


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Istanbul March 19 (QNA) - The official death toll of a bombing that took place Istanbul's Istiklal Street in Turkey rose to five with 36 injured according to the city's authorities.
Some 12 of the total were foreigners. No group has assumed responsibility for the attack. Turkish forces are combing the area to find in a bid to find any relevant evidence. The street was largely closed down by police following the attack.
Turkish Anadolu news agency reported today that a video from a closed circuit camera emerged showing the moment of the explosion which appeared to go off in the middle of a group of several people near a popular fish market.
Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu said that seven of the injured are in a critical condition. (QNA)
