(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Cabinet has entrusted Minister of Commerce and Industry Yousef Al-Ali to activate laws and decisions concerning foodstuff trading, reports Al- Shahed daily. The Cabinet has issued a decision to review the conditions and regulations for the fishing sector in order to confront the increase in fish prices.
Also, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has asked Kuwait Municipality to specify a location instead of Mubarakiya for holding the fish auction. Meanwhile, Minister of Commerce and Industry Yousef Al-Ali said a committee with representatives from Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Researches and the Kuwait Municipality was formed based on the request of the Cabinet. He revealed that the committee has suggested holding a meeting to discuss the allocation of a new site for public sale of fi sh.
