'Build more slaughterhouses to cut long waiting time'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait Livestock Transport and Trading Company (KLTTC) has asked Kuwait Municipality to build a new temporary slaughterhouse inside its farm in Sulaibiya area, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Chief Executive Officer of KLTTC Osama Khalid Boodai explained that the company was established in 1973 and the Kuwaiti government owns more than 60 percent of its capital.

The company does its best to supply the market with livestock to meet the needs for sheep and cow meat. The company follows the conditions and requirements of Kuwait Municipality in offering the best service to the citizens.

However, the only problem that its clients face is the long waiting time due to lack of a slaughterhouse near the farm especially since the company needs to slaughter 1,500 sheep everyday during Eid Al-Adha. He stressed the need for establishing more slaughterhouses due to pressures faced by the existing ones and the lack of sufficient slaughterhouses in the country.
